System-Wide High Water Usage Alert

January 27, 2026

Due to the freezing temperatures, many customer pipes have frozen and burst across the system, resulting in unusually high-water usage. Stephens Regional Water is asking all customers to check their plumbing for possible leaks, and use water thoughtfully and conserve whenever possible. These efforts will help with the system’s water production and storage while leaks are being located and repaired.

To check to see if there is a leak on your side:
     1. Turn off all water inside and outside your home.
     2. Check your water meter to see if the triangle indicator is moving.
     3. If the triangle is moving while all water is turned off, this may indicate a leak.

If you believe you have a leak, please contact our Field Operator at 254-212-9980, or call the District’s office at 254-559-6180.
